Summit Community Bank Recognized for Donation to the Troops

The Independant Community Bankers of Minnesota has recognized Summit Community Bank for a recent donation to the troops in active duty overseas.

Ten U.S. soldiers in Kuwait will sleep a little more comfortably in 2012 thanks to ICBM member Summit Community Bank in Maplewood. Bank employees and a local business put together gift boxes with some of the basic comforts of home including sheets, candy, snacks, and hygiene products. The bank purchased ten sets of sheets for the soldiers. Employees brought in ten things to put in the boxes, and Running Aces donated decks of playing cards. Between the bedsheets and other items, the bank ended up needing an additional six boxes to get everything shipped. Sgt. Holden Lucke connected the bank with the ten soldiers.
